Ok,
I had to reread the OP several times after your post. I kept seeing:

and took it as the dealer shuffled again, but it appears the dealer just dealt the cards. I retract my previous statements. But I'm sure someone can see why I responded the way I did if the dealer in fact did shuffle the cards.
