Default Re: Montreal Casino Poker Yet?

This is news to me, good news if its true. My sketicism is due to the fact that I used to work with a former head of security at the Casino in Montreal and his argument was that poker takes up too much floor space and costs too much (dealers and other staff) for such a small return on investment. I used to argue with him all the time that poker revenue is only the tip of the iceberg, most poker players eat, drink and play other Casino games. I haven't been to a Quebec casino in two years, simply because they refuse to spread poker, and I am only a few minutes away from one of their Casinos. It would be good if someone else could offer some confirmation of this - not that I don't believe the poster that said there was a study, just that past experience tells me the provincial government still has its head in the sand when it comes to poker. Indeed, Quebec is the only jurisdiction in Canada that has Casinos but doesn't have poker.
