Why did you leave that out of the original post? Kind of an important detail, don't you think?

Every fast food joint I've been to where I've had to pull up has had a spot that was out of the way of regular drive-thru traffic.

It's not even relevant because that isn't the reason they have you pull up anyway. Sure, it sounds like a good idea, but in actuality they just want good window times so they don't get in trouble / get their food discount decreased/etc.
