Default Hi, could we please get a ridiculous # of votes in for Forest today?

I'm sure the vast majority of you guys haven't been following the 'vote for Forest' thread after the first couple of days so here's the recap. We are 21st in votes - top 5 gets the grand prize. The OP tried to get the actual school involved, making a fairly insignificant difference. People tried to drag other forums into the team which failed. Finally, in the last 100 or so posts in the main thread, people are sounding more and more pessimistic, and everyone may be about to give up.

Every day they have the list of the hottest schools (schools receiving the most votes in that day beginning 1am EST). The winner usually ends up w/ ~10000 votes during that day.

I wish Forest could just crush this list today. It would be great if some of you could spend 30-60 minutes today just voting like crazy. Come on, it's Thursday, what else do you have to do? Here are some tips:

- from my own voting I think a good rate is ~30 minutes / 250 votes if you use both IE and Firefox
- don't be intimidated by the verification box
- be a man and just hit enter if you get a code that you probably won't solve
- the counter needs to hit a certain # before you can vote again (or else it will tell you to wait a while). The # is computer dependent. Figure out these numbers ASAP for both browsers

Admittedly I haven't been one of the top voters, but today, I am going to get in 1-2k votes. Maybe more. If we don't win the hottest today, I'm personally ready to throw in the towel.

To sum up: don't read this and go vote 3-10 times. Please take 30+ minutes to get in 100+ votes. The point of this thread is to get a final push in. If we get a lot of votes today, the momentum can carry us through. If we don't, then we can probably figure out that OOT interest is low and winning is not going to happen.

I will start things off. By 4am EST, Forest will be blazing.
