Thanks for having eyes, unlike everyone else. I noticed on the first replay. Not that hard really, you see a white thing change direction, it had to hit something... one of Newton's laws of motion or something..

This is being argued both ways by several different people on this board after watching the replay at least a dozen times. The umps didn't have that benefit. The call was close. Paul should have tagged him.

I do question the ump ringing him up though, but I don't know the ruling on that. Sciossia and the crew chief seemed to be arguing that point. That play counts as a strike out regardless, so maybe the ring up is moot.
