Default Re: Should Religion Matter?

[ QUOTE ]
Grey likely posted this poll because of what Bush said:

"People are interested to know why I picked Harriet Miers," Bush told reporters at the White House. "Part of Harriet Miers' life is her religion."

[/ QUOTE ]I made this thread because I find it absolutely hilarious that some of the same people cheering for a strict interpretation of the United States Constitution don't know what the United States Consitution is.

Here's part of it:

Article. VI.

Clause 1: All Debts contracted and Engagements entered into, before the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be as valid against the United States under this Constitution, as under the Confederation.

Clause 2: This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

Clause 3: The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.

And as someone who claims to be a polling expert, how could you post a poll as vague as this one? Several people have had to "define" their understanding of the poll question before they could respond to it.

[/ QUOTE ]I have to admit you were an added treat though. The guy who displays logic like this is the first poster, copying Bush's words exactly, and complaining about the poll- as if he knows what I want to measure.

I understand that you were embarassed in the other thread; but there's no need to compound it.

Oh, and I never claimed to be an expert at anything. Can you keep up a conversation without misquoting people?
