i think it worked out well, but I think you got lucky with the button bet. However, I do not see any other way to play it. My initial thoughts were to lead and let UTG raise and thin the field but he is so passive that if he raises you're behind an overpair. I think checking to see what happens and c/r the late position bet here was a great result.
