That's what I thought. In that case I like the check raise, since you had good evidence it would work like it did.

As for the river, that's tough, what a terrible card to fall. Flush, or OESD just made it. I don't think we get him to fold a weak 9 often enough. We'd get called by a pair of 5's maybe, pocket sixes or sevens maybe. I'd probably bet it but I think it's got to be somewhat close, maybe minus EV.
