I could be wrong, but I think you should spend as much time at the 1/2 beginners tables as possible. This basically would be proven correct or incorrect by evaluating winrate at 1/2 beginners vs 2/4 regular tables.
While you're there, advise them not to do the side-bets!!! Anything that takes their money and gives it to party gives us the shaft.
