This sounds like a good idea too. We don't know wines though. What's a good? Any recs for French wines (or any others), mslif?

First, when you pick a french wine, follow these couples of rules:
The wine has to be bottled at the property. The bottle will say "mis en bouteille a (name of property or cattle).
Also make sure you see "appelation controle" on the bottle. It is very important.
Now, you can find some great St. Emilions that are not too expensive.
I do not know much about american wines unfortunately.
