Default Re: (55) Calling a turn check-raise all-in with an overpair

[ QUOTE ]
My stats so far on BB say he's loose-passive. He's seen 35% of flop so far without raising. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything he's done.

I have 420 left with 1000 in the pot. Do I have any excuse to fold getting 2:1 on the call? I am most likely beat by a flush or set, but those are some nice pot odds.

you are getting 2.5:1. You are drawing dead against a flush, you are about a 19:1 underdog to a set, you are ahead of the naked Ace of spades, and you have a bluff crushed. Given the way he bet his hand, I'd say there is a very good chance you are up against a set or a flush, and can safely fold. In the future, I would check behind on the turn and call any non-spade river bet .
