If your suited six was an offsuit seven, I would agree with your advice. If you brick on 4th, you can fold and still have more than 900 chips, so you would pretty much be in the same position as before (in 3rd place sitting on a mediocre stack with 4 left). If you catch on 4th, you're obviously going to go all the way, so it's possible you can get broke, but it's also possible you could win a pot that will enable you to cruise into the money and position you for a chance to win the tournament, rather than just limping into the money.
