I think part of the misunderstanding in the thread is that people think I am giving just an autographed copy of the book. What I actually do, is write a synopsis of the hand that I went broke on, so the winner is able to enjoy that hand in the future. My signature is included only to authenticate it.

Barry, I think given your public persona (which I assume is consistent with your actual character), it'd be hard for someone to consider your move arrogant. However, some people don't think about things critically so I do see how they could take your move the wrong way. It's not even close to Paul Phillips's move which I think could easily be interepreted as presumptuous and arrogant. I'd go so far as to say that if you're not a stand up guy in the poker world, no one is.
