It's possible to be neat, even primped, without being a germophobe.
Besides, work by
Chuck Gerba at the University of Arizona shows that
public toilets are cleaner than other public spaces. That's not to say there are not germs present. Gerba does recommend
keeping your toothbrush in the medicine cabinet.
But overall, a public restroom is not the worst of your worries.
So you can use hair gel and still heckle someone else for not wanting to use a public toilet.
