The monitor size is a diagonal measurement and obviously the widescreen will have a longer diagonal on a comparable normal screen. I'm sure there is an algebraic equation to figure out the exact screen real estate we are talking about. But a lot of the size difference is because the 2405 is 4.5" wider and not nthat much taller. I would think size difference is negligible and definitely not worth $300 or $400.

I read a post (not on 2+2) that listed this equation, but I can't find it. oh well. anyway, the tables are certainly bigger on the 2405fpw, but not that much bigger. what you can do a bit easier on a 2405 is 6 table (with a bit of overlap)
