ANYONE who says there is only ONE way to play ANYTHING is WRONG...

translation - I've got a chump that raises every hand he plays - nearly 50 % of the time - I get AA under the gun - why not limp and let one of the other players raise? - and I'll usually throw a couple limps in there here in there with small pocket pairs - if I get raised, I'm out cheap - and I'm setting things up for if I want a good C/R preflop later on when I have AA/KK -

I'm not saying it should be done all the time, but sometimes there is a nitish "absolutism" to poker that is just absurd - there are several ways to win and the trick is for you to figure out the optimum way to do so with each individual situation -

it is this slavish nitish devotion to hard and fast rules that made the System such big news about 3 yrs. ago -

"ooohhh...I can play tournament poker, win, and not have to make any decisions based on anything....I can just follow rules I have in this book to determine my actions..."
