1) Easier to get into a game
2) Frequently better than 20-40 (in my experience)
3) I don't consider myself spectacular at Omaha8, like it as a nice hold em changeup on occasion and am in no rush to play the biggest games (though I did play heads up 80-160 Omaha8 on UB during an extreme judgement lapse). And the 80-160 Hold Em game I'm a semi regular at in AC is often converted to half and half with Omaha. But that game is so good, it's truly truly unbelievable. Like Q-10-7-3 for two cold good.
