Default stars 500k gtd hand from a while ago

This hand is from a while ago but Ive been thinking about it a lot lately. I generally play small buy in MTT up to around $30. I got in the stars 500k through a sattellite and decided to play. It was a while ago so I dont have a HH but I remember the hand fairly well and recreated it the best I could. Anyway, onto the hand.

It was very early, within the first 5 hands or so of the tourney. I limped in MP with 2 red dueces. There was a couple more limpers and the BB checked and we saw a flop.

The flop came down: 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

A EP limper came out betting around the pot (t100) and I raised it up to t350. The CO called and the others folded. The initial better then raised all in for around t2500. I also had around t2500. After thinking for a long while, I decided to lay it down. The flop caller also folded and I never did find out what the better had.

Was this a bad laydown?? Did the fact that I was playing in a tournament way over my usual limits cause me to play the hand too scared?? Thanks for the imput, this hand has been bugging me for a long while.
