I've heard this idea before, and I think it's similar to the idea that you should raise any two cards if you have the button, zero limpers and a poster in the CO checks to you. What's the idea behind this?

Is it that, if one person calls, you're risking 2SB to win 3.5SB and you're rarely that much of a dog (with your position)? If two people call, it's not so good though, right? Does the idea not apply from the SB (no position)? And, in your situation, you're actually advocating doing it from the CO. So here you're only risking 1SB to win 3.5SB if someone calls, but the button might call (meaning no position for you). Still, much better odds...
