Default Re: techniques for multitabling effectively

In my experience, multi-tabling is all about practice. When I first came to 2+2 and started to read posts from all these guys playing 4, 6, 8, or even more tables, I thought I could just jump right into that too. I got Poker Tracker and PlayerView and jumped right in. I quickly was overwhelmed and took a beating. The limited poker skills I had were wasted because I was too busy trying to keep up with each table.

I finally gave up and went back to 1 table and slowly worked my way back up as my game got better and I got more comfortable. Now I'm playing 3 tables easily and I'm about to add a fourth.

So my advice is to slowly work your way up starting at 2 tables.
