BBQ sides I enjoy.
Coleslaw (is that too typical, either way, it's my perfect BBQ side dish).
Kimchee (or however you spell it) goes great with BBQ, but I'm guessing it will scare people who aren't familiar.
You might try flipping a next level Mac and Cheese thing, use some different cheese, make it a little more creative?
Frankly- this isn't an area when I'm prone to get too creative. BBQ is such a celebration of the meat that there's no point in going nutty with the side dishes.
