i would never fold KK in that situation at all.
there is another way of playing the hand that would have the same result here(cuz he has AA) but may have made a difference if he had somehting like AQ or AK (as you said you have seen him push before with any good hand).
if you just called his raise and not reraise him and wait for the flop and then push,he may decide to lay his hand down seen as he had missed the flop.
the advantage here is if you push preflop and he calls ,he can get to see the hand down to the river and gets 5 chances to draw an A on you rather than just 3.
but in this case you did nothing wrong.
