well, ive never played 50/100 (although im clearly a "top player, ahem), so i dont know that im qualified to respond, but...
im a very competetive person. in poker, $$ is how we keep track... even when the $$ isnt super signifcant, i still wanna win. i hate to lose at anything. besides the smaller games you mentioned are not played for negligible amounts of $$. my record for internet 2/4 in one session is 6K. thats significant for me.
