Plenty of industry, considered silicon valley east. Banks up the wazoo. Tons of skiing/beaches within 2 hours. Boston suburbs. Foxwoods is a 90 minute drive. Tons of pseudo-legal charity poker and home games.
Couple areas that are nice middle class towns:
Framingham/Natick/Wayland
Newton/Waltham
Reading/Wilmington
Braintree
