Routinely folding hands like A5o to a small blind open raise is way too tight. You're definitely losing a lot of money to anyone who raises every time.
People seem to agree that reraising is a good idea. I'm wondering, what is your reraising range? Why do you reraise, is it mainly to take the initiative?

i didn't say to fold it preflop. i said raise or fold, and the choice comes down to what the guy's range is. am i going to 3-bet a semi-rock here? probably not, unless i feel i can blow him off something on a rag flop.
and yeah, the reason to reraise is because you already have multiple things going for you: you have a strong hand, you're in position, and you can usually play better than the SB postflop (by hand-reading and evaluating board texture). giving yourself the chance to bet first is huge in a blind battle.
