I probably don't do this enough -- stop the free card play. On the river, I would check/call. You might induce a bluff. Also, with the river pairing the odd flop card, it would be hard to call a raise. If he is on a flush draw, he won't call the bet anyway.
Back to the the stop 'n' go, though. If the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] were instead a J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (an overcard to our pair), should that change the turn line?
