Your sample size if of course a problem. But, the 10/20 game is a lot tougher than 5/10. The biggest difference is the aggression from loose players. There are far more loose and passive players at 5/10. The LAGs are 10/20 are trickier to play against since you will fold the best hand or be forced to call down with A-high.
All the aggression sure gives you a higher standard deviation and combined with a lower winrate you will see far worse downswings. For example yesterday I played 1000 hands, in the first 500 I won 123BB, but then lost 70BB in the last 500.
Perhaps you need to work on your table selection more if it's not just a variance thing.
