Default Re: Most underrated college football conference.

[ QUOTE ]
guys, you have to read the question. He is asking what the most underrated college football conference is not what conferences need to improve the most. The obvious answer is the SEC. They are so far ahead of the rest of the country it is not funny and they are not recognized for the game they play.

That's kind of funny, because along with the Big XII, I consider the SEC to be vastly overrated this year. Tennessee struggled to beat Alabama-Birmingham, Auburn lost at home to Georgia Tech, and South Carolina struggled at home to beat Central Florida.

The reason that I listed the ACC as the most underrated is that they've been 1st or 2nd in cumulative power ratings for the past couple of seasons, yet you almost never hear them mentioned as an elite football conference.

In the first week of this season, unranked Clemson beat 17th ranked Texas A&M, and unranked Georgia Tech beat 16th ranked Auburn. Both Clemson and Georgia Tech are middle echelon ACC teams.
