Caveat: I am not trying to make the claim Faulk is better then Smith. I am simply defending the fact that he has had more than 3 great seasons. I argue that he was an elite back in the league for 6, perhaps 7 seasons.

8 guys, 32 teams... 25%, ignoring the multiple other backs who get touches. 25% is pretty much upper tier.

Also, you must ackowledge how much of an effect they have when they don't touch the ball. Faulk had a huge impact.

And you really have to take into the account that avg yd per rush is not the only way to judge a back.
