You really want to lead out with a $400 stack into a $50 pot? Say you lead $50 and get raised to $200. If you push at that point you are doing it completely on value as you have little fold equity. Whereas the attempt to check-jam could get your pair+flush draw heads up where it does best.
If you don't get raised when you lead out then you end up with a $100-$150 and a $350 stack out of position not really sure if you hand is good and what a blank is.
If you check and its check around then its probably an easy small pot to pick up.
If you had a deeper stack you might be able to argue that if you check then you might be able to get away from the pair+flush draw when it was in bad shape but with such a small stack I don't think thats usu. possible.
