LOL.........I could say if Zimbabwe imposed economic sanctions on the USA, the USA economy would collapse. As for destroying trade that is VERY silly. Mexico is VERY dependent on the USA for trade. They need the USA more than we need them.
As for diplomatic relations you are correct. Mexico would be ticked. But the USA is a sovereign nation. And as a sovereign nation we are free to build on our OWN land without Mexico's permission. Mexico encourages illegal immigration to the USA. If anyone has justification to be angry, it is the USA. Mexico has been a poor neighbor. As a wise man once said, 'Good fences make for good neighbors'.
