Default Re: An American\'s first English football/cricket bets

[ QUOTE ]
There are definitely teams that the public jumps all over and moves the line like in baseball and football. The original poster's Manchester United bet being a great example. MU opened at -125 and are now at -190 with 45 minutes to go until kickoff. I wouldn't be surprised to see this close at -200 or larger. You can see why I suggested that the OP get bets on the name teams in as early as possible.

This is only my first full season of betting on soccer after making sporadic picks for the 3 prior seasons, so my results may not prove anything, but last year I was up 7 units over 45 bets. The win/loss was 24-21. My record this year is 5-3 for up 3.1 units.

I am only a small, recreational bettor that does a great deal of homework for small bets. However, I am more than willing to share my thoughts on anything that I find.

Well, I know nothing about soccer. But, I think a lot of the "american based" sportsbooks could offer a lot of value. Of course, I wouldn't even know where to begin. Maybe we can make a learning "trade" of some kind. I can help you with baseball and american football and you can help me with soccer. PM if interested.
