this is more based onyour own personal comfortability.

I'm assuming you have a regular job or are a student (you aren't playing full-time for income).


Of course $1500 is okay for a 'shot'.
This is assuming you were okay at the previous limit too of course.


A $400 stop-loss is okay....but $600 might be a little bit better.
If you're not prepared for the possibility of dropping 100BB's then you probably shouldn't be playing at that limit imo.

See Victor's graph in Kurosh's thread to see how frequently one can have a 100BB downswing at 6-max (his graph is 5/10....but it's not THAT different from 3/6 in this respect I would think).


But if you want to take a quicker shot and then get out of there if you drop $400 that wouldn't be too terrible either.
