Default Re: Playing a Big Stack in Mid Stages

I have trouble with this play too, so I'm anxious to see others opinions.

I'm usually too aggressive here and come over the top to put him all in. Thus, I get burned a lot of the time to his AK or PP.

A fold here seems too tight to me without a good read. After all you've got AQ, good, but not great....now I'm talking myself into a fold...if he has AK or better you're toast....and then what if an Ace flops...hope that he'll passively play his JJ and just check to you?

A smooth call may be too passive, but you could at least see a flop and play it out.

This dilema may be why I usually opt for the big re-raise and put him all in. Force him to make the decision...of course he's got 25% of his money in the pot. Aaaahhh!

Others please post!!!
