Well, IMO there are two scales. One that you put normal people on (i.e. people you might actually meet, date, etc.) And then you have to have a scale where the numbers mean different things so you can actually differentiate between different models/celebs, otherwise most models/celebs would just all be 10s and it would be pointless to discuss.
IMHO, your g/f is an 8 on the "all" scale and a 9 on the "normal" scale. (I voted 8 since that is the scale 2+2 votes on)
