it appears the consensus is that i should steal and defend more. about two weeks ago i did this to some extent. here are my current standards let me know if you think this ok or if there needs to be additional changes.
co-- steal with: any ace, any two nine or higher, any two suited eight or higher, any pair fives or better
button-- steal with: any ace, any two eight or better, any two suited seven or higher, any pair fours or better
sb-- complete w: any ace, any two suited, any two ten or better, 22 - 88, three bet w: ATs, AQo, KJs, 99+
bb-- call 1 w: any two suited, any pair, any two ten or better

this has loosened my numbers up some to 20%vpip and 14%pfr for the last two weeks. is this enough or do i need to do more?
