Default Re: Reduced Juice Sportsbooks -- Just something to consider

[ QUOTE ]
That's exactly it - bonuses run out. About 4 or 5 years ago, I would have agreed that bonus hunting is worthwhile. Frankly, if you have the kind of bankroll that would allow you to bonus hunt in addition playing at these reduced juice books, that would be great. At a site like BoDog or Bowmans, you get a bonus at -110, and lines are sure to pop up at some point that you can't get elsewhere. It'll just take a long time.

About 4 or 5 years ago there were a bunch of sites offering stuff like 30% and 40% cash bonuses with liberal wagering requirements. Not so now. Notice how the wagering requirements are also set such that if you were to meet them and pick no better than 50/50, you would lose the bonus and then some.

The sports gambler's time is better spent concentrating on finding +EV bets.

Again, if you have the bankroll to get bonuses at BoDog and Bowmans, definitely do it, but only do it if you can do it in addition to having these other books I mention.

I agree with all of what you said except the part about Bodog (and somewhat Bowmans). Bodog has a 20% bonus with only 3X rollover. Add in their lines (you know what I am talking about) and they are very profitable. Especially for the smaller bettors. The problem is, that if this guy is betting w/ the public he is definitely getting bad lines.
