Default Re: Reduced Juice Sportsbooks -- Just something to consider

Mastershakes, nice post, thanks for compiling a list of books offering reduced juice. Very useful for a newb trying to decide where to sign-up.

I'm curious about a statement you made:

[ QUOTE ]
The importance of not giving up this juice cannot be overstated. Over the long haul, it is certainly better than a bonus that you have to clear at -110.

[/ QUOTE ]

What's the rationale behind this statement? Because at first glance, the bonuses seem to be a better deal. A 10% bonus w/ 3x (deposit+bonus) wager requirement seems very common. And this decreases the HA by about 3%. A 20% w/ 3x WR reduces HA by about 5.5%

A -107 line is about 1.3% better thn a -110 line and a -105 line is about 2% better.

Do you feel the lower juice is better because bonuses run out? -- because it seems some books have on-going 10% 3x redeposit bonuses. Or because the limits on bonuses are too small? Is it too hard manage accounts such that you're always working on clearing a bonus? Something else I'm missing?

I'm just asking because I'm planning on signing up at a few sportsbooks and if there's a choice between bonuses or lower juice, I don't want to miss out on the best deal in the long run (something I did in poker, missing out on rakeback deals at many of the poker rooms).

Is there anything else someone establishing new account should be aware of? --For example do sportbooks have the equivalent of affiliates and rakeback? I've never heard of it, but wanted to check.

Thanks.
