Default Re: Bankroll recovery. Long & personal.

David - Your post is inspirational on many levels. I really enjoyed the read and your honesty.

While we can all relate to downswings in our personal lives and how it has affected our game, your story illustrates precisely the concept of "correct play". I don't mean poker.

We can only hope to flop the nuts in our game and make the best of the situations that present themselves (or those that we create). We can make the best play or bet possible and still lose in the short term at poker.

That's where life and poker are at odds. You and your family are making the right plays. Good for you!

Making the best decisions in life are often the most difficult to swallow. Having a grasp on what really matters is what separates the "mopers" from the "happy campers" in the long run. Life's chip stack is all about comfort, happiness and family (choose the order).

Sounds to me like you have found your game. I don't mean poker.

Best wishes for you and your family to be "Happy Like Campers"
