When you get 3-bet on the flop you're in a lot of trouble. Capping is -EV.
I would check-call flop/turn and bet-call the river. This way you get maximum action from hands like KK-99 that will often fold to a check-raise while minimizing your losses to strong hands like AA, AK-AQ.
