Two rules apply here: the cards speak rule and the show one, show all rule.

Show one show all means that you must show both your cards to claim a pot (It also applies to exposed cards during a hand).

Cards speak means just how it sounds, the upturned hole cards combined with the board show the best hand and it is everyone in the game has a responsibility to make sure the

Sleight,

You are half right. There are two rules in play here but "Show one show all" doesn't apply to showing one card show all your cards. It is a rule that if you show one player at the table your cards you must show all so that everyone has the same information.

So the rule is show one (player) show all (players).

Here is the way I see this:

First of all having to call your hand is ridicules and just causes problems so the rule: The cards speak should be used in all games. Secondly you need to cards to win so if the players that showed the ace, mucked the other card his hand is dead and he lost. If he showed the second card after the two pair he (even if it wasn't intentional) slow rolled the other player and he won the hand.

The easiest way to avoid this and it also speeds up the game is: Show your cards after the show down or muck'em and get on with the next hand.

IMO
