Just call the river. He check/raised the turn, a sign of sure strength from a loose-passive. Yes you may have counterfeited K2, but he may also have K6, 64, AK, or KQ. The range of hands you beat is much smaller (6s and worse Ks), and I don't see many passive villains that play them this way. I have seen passive players check/raise semi-bluff the turn, especially with a hand like A6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], but that justifies a call-down, not popping the end. I can't see any situation where you are a 2:1 favourite when you raise this river, so just see a showdown.
If you disagree with my range and think villain's holdings are weighted more heavily towards worse kings then fold to the 3-bet. How often does a player like the one you described 3-bet with a hand that doesn't beat KK44Q when the 4s are on board?
