Default Re: sugar, we\'re going down swinging

Now that's a LAG hand. I pull the old triple bluff with a draw every once in a while, but it is usually at least an open-ended straight draw that I semibluffed the turn with after betting the flop, then got to the river and figured a scare bet had a high chance of taking it down. I have twice this week done it against tight players and got caught both times. Welcome to Dingleberry, population: me. It's a terribly expensive play when it goes wrong. One can live a long and pleasant life as a pro and never use this play.

Another tactic in this hand: call preflop then go nuts on the flop and turn. Unless UTG flopped a set, he should not be committed. Also, in a 9-handed game over time those T8s in mid position will end up costing you significantly if your opponents are any good.

Glad it worked for you.

Matt
