This is the whole reason behind the "win a little or lose a lot." generally, if hero wins in these kinds of pots, it's when the 2 other lows are weeded out and it ends up being heads up, and hero collects his half of the antes and 2 small bets. When he loses, he ends up losing at least 5 BBs, sometimes more.
