what's the deal with those guys lying around on beds of nails? why do girls put that bullseye on their heads?

The bed of nails is done to prove they have experienced nirvana, they can complete relax their muscles(otherwise the nails would puncture the skin).
The "bullseye" is called a Bindi, hindu wives wear it to signify that theyre married..sorta like a wedding ring .
