Whoa. You're right. I completely overlooked villains stats which I just noticed. He's a tighty.

If he's a thinking player--top two pair, any two pair, or a set on the flop is betting out and/or re-raising for both value and protection. A check raise on the turn screams to me "I have an ace with no spade kicker or low spade kicker and I wait until the turn to protect my ace." Even more reason to at least call down and not fold. Of course, the occasional flopped flush will come and bite you, but you will win more in the longrun with bottom two pair than you will lose to flopped flushes.
