A lot of people here, including myself, don't rate the Cloutier/McEvoy book.

The Ciaffone Reuben book ("Pot Limit and No Limit Poker") is excellent. The co-author Stewart Reuben has a book coming out on Pot Limit Hold'em, which I imagine will be good - see the thread onthe books forum. His beginner's book "Starting Out in Poker" has some good info on PL/NL games. Theory of Poker is great for all games.
