Default Check/Call, Check/Call, Bet...?

I understand where many of you are coming from when you recommend this line in certain situations; however, what about when you are heads-up versus a likely run-of-the-mill blind defender with a 3-bettable hand pre-flop?

Villain is a 16.5/8.75/3 after 100+ hands.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Flop: (6 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

This flop isn't too bad... not too bad at all. Why not go into check-call mode and extract the most when I'm ahead and the least when I'm behind?

Turn: (4 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero...???
