This is a key phrase.
Playing poker does wear on you mentally. The more you study, the more you understand, the longer and better you can play. Take a break for a significant amount of time, then come back and try to play at the same level. To me, it's kind of like how athletes condition themselves for their jobs.
One thing there is always to learn is the new players you face and how to exploit them.
