Default Re: AK in BB vs raise from chip leader

[ QUOTE ]
I would call and see a flop, if it is favorable I would push. Depends on his stats, really. If he seems to be TAG I may push preflop but if he is laggy I would see if you hit the flop.

Why? If he's LAGgy he's much more likely to have opened with a mediocre hand, and may call with a dominated one. No question I'm all in if he's LAG.

I think it's either fold or reraise all-in, and to be honest I think your frequent pushing has given you a great image for a play like this-- you may get another call from AQ.

What I'm interested in is what a 5x BB raise means from this guy. Does he vary his raises in a way that you can correlate to hands? Is he doing this with a monster or with a mediocre hand in hopes people go away? Does he do it with 99-JJ to discourage action? And what would he do in the face of a reraise?

Absent that information moving in is almost certainly the right play.
